6 Reasons Why People Fail In Internet Network Marketing
Feb 6, 2009There are many people trying to actively start an internet network marketing business. And they probably have been bombarded with various internet business opportunities that promise them to make thousands of dollars over night. So, what do they do? They proceed to sign up with the company in hopes of striking it rich.
They spend hours in front of their computer trying to make their business a success….but after a couple of weeks, nothing happened and they became frustrated! Now, they wonder what they did wrong because they failed and didn’t make one red cent. Sound familiar? I’m sure it does!
I’ve been in that situation before as many of you have been also. So, I know how frustrating it all can be and how much easier it may seem to just give up and quit. If you are in that same situation right now and you are thinking of quitting, please allow me to enlighten you on why you may be failing and hopefully this will inspire you to give it a second thought.
I’ve put together my top 6 reasons why I think people fail in the internet network marketing:
1. Not Taking Action – There are several reasons why people don’t take action and constantly make up excuses that they can’t find the time to work on their business. I personally started building my business while working 50 hours a week working in corporate America and raising a family at the same time. It all boils down to how bad you want something. I took action because I wanted to leave my job. I did not want to work for someone for the rest of my life. So, I took action!
2. Impatience - Too many people turn to the internet and expect to make a killing quickly. They fail because they were not patient enough to learn how to do it correctly and then a few months later, they give up saying that internet marketing does not work.
3. Failing to Have a To-Do-List - If you fail to plan, you plan to fail. If you do not have a list of things you need to accomplish to start seeing results, you won’t see results….Period! Write down a list of marketing strategies and fit them into your schedule. When you log on to your computer, know why you are logging on. Is it to write an article? Is it to network with people for 30 minutes on a social networking site? Is it to hang out in a forum for an hour. Write down exactly what you want to accomplish and check it off of your list when completed. Trust me, you will feel better!
4. Not Having A Positive Attitude – People who complain all the time and make up a bunch of excuses about why they can’t do this and do that, are all failures. On the other hand, people who stay focused, think positive thoughts, have patience, inspire other people, get inspired by other people and always have a will and the drive to learn, earn, and return, will always be one step ahead of the person who has a negative attitude or who are just simply lazy.
5. Lack of Consistency & Persistence – Consistency is often “un-romantic”, it doesn’t carry with it that same sense of spontaneity that the initial flash of inspiration had. It can often feel mechanical. The essence of consistency is repetition, which can often lead to boredom. But consistency is crucial. Persistence is very similar to consistency. But it implies a sense of effort as well. In order to be consistent, you also have to be persistent. They simply go hand and hand.
6. Lack of Training & Support – I’ve seen many times before people in the network marketing industry promoting their companies replicated website. This really is the number one reason why people fail with promoting their business online but I decided to save it for last because without applying 1-6, this part will not make a difference. People lack training. They come online not having a clue on how to promote their business. They send people to their replicated website but what they fail to realize is that people do not care about what they have to offer. 97% of people will not do business with them anyway. What you have to realize is that you need a marketing funnel. You need to start generating targeted qualified leads for your business and start building your own list. You need to get the training and support that you deserve so that you can fall into the 3% of people who make it in this industry. Once you understand this, everything else will fall into place.
So, to recap…Take action, be patient, keep a to-do-list, have a positive attitude, always be consistent and persistent and get training & support and you will start seeing results!
