Well, for starters, just to clear the record, I’m definitely not an Internet Marketing GURU nor do I go around portraying that I am. I have been into internet marketing for about 8 months now, Hardcore for about 3 months.

I have the privilege of working from home fulltime with 4 successful businesses. Why 4 businesses? Because I believe that having multiple streams of income ifs extremely important because where one business may be slow for a certain amount of time….or even if one business fails, at least you have the others to count on.

My goal is to create a group of beginner internet marketers or people looking to learn internet marketing to help grow their business. I personally feel that success starts with a team….because as my business partner, Tyrone Turner always says..."TEAMS WIN!"

Now, I definitely don’t know it all, but I am connected to a group of successful internet marketers who are online everyday, making it happen for their business, learning new strategies and sharing it with each othe, sharing different resources and tools with each other that can help you promote your business online with little or no money at all. We all like FREE stuff and there are tons of free resources that you can take advantage of right now to help you grow your business online. And that is what I want to share with you.

So, what is internet marketing?:

According to Wikipedia….Internet marketing, also referred to as web marketing, online marketing, or eMarketing, is the marketing of products or services over the Internet.

My goal is to work with BEGINNER internet marketers or Internet marketing newbees.

Marketing newbies are those who form the largest portion of those who fail to make a living on the internet. My goal is to help newbies not only survive but succeed and ultimately make a living online.

So, what are the characteristics of internet marketing newbies?

Well, they tend to dream of making a lavish, full-time income on the internet, mostly on autopilot.

They’re on many, many lists. Every internet marketing guru has your name and email address on their lists. As a result, you get bombarded with at least 100 emails from these guys everyday.

They are on the internet everyday trying to figure out how to run a successful online business. They probably learn new things almost daily.

The combined effect of these characteristics is information overload and analysis paralysis. In other words, you hardly take any action based on what you already know or have in hand. You may think this is irrelevant to you because you do take action. If that is so, then why are you not succeeding beyond your wildest dreams? And why is there such a high failure rate (some say as high as 95%) among internet marketers?

The reason is that ‘take action’ is far more than just putting up a webpage, setting up your autoresponder, writing some articles, bidding on keywords in Adwords, advertising on Craigslist or even creating your own product. Now don’t get me wrong, All these are absolutely necessary, but the way to big bucks online is far more than that. Here’s what to do:

Firstly, reduce the number of lists you’re on. Do not worry about losing out on the latest information. You already have enough information to put yourself on the path to success if you just use whatever you’ve got NOW instead of reading, studying and learning the so-called latest method in internet marketing. Do you think the gurus got to where they are by constantly reading e-books without doing actual marketing?

Secondly, spend your time in such a way that it gives maximum returns everyday. Reading e-books, watching videos and listening to podcasts are good but they don’t make you any money in its self. All these activities are essential but if you spend too much time on them, you drastically minimize your income potential. You must proportion your time wisely between that which actually makes you money and that which does not.

Thirdly, focus on taking action, one step at a time. Every internet marketing project involves roughly the same steps. Find a profitable niche, identify keywords, create your own or find an affiliate product if you don’t already have one, create your website with a lead-capture form, drive traffic and track your progress. Thereafter, build a relationship with those who subscribe to your list through a series of emails. Do not shove offer after offer down your subscriber’s throats but instead be personal and give good tips and contents that would benefit your subscribers.

Most internet marketing gurus say that making money on the internet is not rocket science. Actually, it’s true. The steps that I just mentioned are simple but if done regularly, will produce results sooner or later. Online success comes by doing the right things the right way.

This is the exact reason WHY I created this group and WHY I will be giving teleclasses on certain topics. Topics that have done me wonders in my business. So, that you don’t have to sit there wasting your time asking yourself “what do I do?, How do I do this?’

People want to do business with a PERSON or join a team of people that’s going to help them to become successful.

Just remember, people are out there searching for a SOLUTION to their problems. So, if you give them the “because”, that is going to be the hook for them to want to seek more from you.

Take your business out of the equation and make it more about YOU being able to solve their problem or give them what it is that they are looking for.

These are the types of things that I want to be able to teach you. How to think outside the box. Get in the frame of mine where you start marketing YOURSELF and not your business. Set yourself up as an authority and set yourself up as someone who really wants to give information away. The more you give information away, the more results you are going to see.

My goal is to help you to brand yourself so that you can make money literally with any business that you have. So my vision is to help you become the GURU. If you make a name for yourself, literally anything that you touch can turn to gold and you can start attracting more people.

So, if you can allow yourself to learn, you will start seeing results. Change your mindset. When you understand what you are marketing and why you are marketing it, you can actually market anything to anybody! Also get out of the mind set about posting ads and sending emails. That is not what internet marketing is all about. You have to allow people to see you and know you let them become attracted to You.

So, the bottom line is, I created this group because I want a WINNING TEAM.

I don’t know what you have learned about internet marketing or where you get your information from, but I’m different, I like to teach people how to effectively market their business on their own. Meaning I want to show you how to position yourself like those top marketers out there. Now, again, I don’t consider myself a guru at all. I like to think of myself simply as someone who is in the game and focused on building my business online and 100% committed on always getting better. There are lots of people not building themselves first. There just marketing a link and they think that’s enough and that’s just not enough. They think that just because they have a website floating in cyberspace that it’s enough. There is a lot more to it than that.

Let’s not forget about networking. Networking online and offline is also KEY to growing your business. I will be conducting periodic Speed Networking that will be held on the phone and over the internet at the same time. There called Blitzes. This is where a group of people call into a number and will network with other business professionals with one on one 5 minute conversations while at the same time viewing each others information about your businesses online. It’s an amazing technology.

If you are serious about growing your business and serious about learning how to market yourself, you have to be responsible for that. Only YOU can make that happen. Learn to be resourceful and Think outside the box. In Order for You to go Places You've Never Been, You Have to do Things You've Never Done.

One of the most important things that I can share with you is that you have to learn how NOT to promote your product or service when you are interacting with people, but instead promote YOU. People could care less about what you have to sell. They don’t care. But if you can show them value as a PERSON they will WANT to do business with you and that is where the wealth lies. It’s called "attraction marketing". Learn how to get people attracted to you. Learn how to attract people and you will succeed.

Well for starters, DON'T PANIC!

This can be the perfect opportunity for you to stop and think about how you want to spend the rest of your life, either working for someone else or working for yourself.

YOU DO HAVE OPTIONS!

First of all, when you get the news from your employer that they have to "Let You Go", the first thing that runs through everyones mind is, "OH NO, What am I going to do now?" What most people don't understand is that you will still get paid, just not as much as you were making. It's called UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS!

Getting laid off should be the PERFECT opportunity to start a small business or join a network marketing company.But, don't just start any company or join just any network marketing company. Join one that you are going to find interesting. For example: if you are into health, start some kind of health related business or join a health related network marketing company. If you go the network marketing route, just make sure that you start using the products or services before you start promoting it so that you can talk about your experience with them better.

This economy is not getting any better, so take advantage of the fact that you have all this free time now and jump right in.

Sure, the money will not start rolling in right away, so you should try to find a little gig on the side that pays off the books so that you can continue to collect your unemployment checks.

There are plenty of things you can do online to start making money. I would suggest looking at the EZ Wealth Solution System. My experience with them has been great so far but it's imperative that you do your research and see what is out there for you.

It really does not matter what type of product or service that you promote because these four tips that I will share with you are going to put you in the right direction to start marketing yourself online.

1. Get a Website: Get it up and running with rich content and get it out into the internet universe as quickly as possible. Get your URL indexed in the search engines as soon as possible because it takes a while for those little spiders to crawl your content and index them accordingly! You can use your website, your affiliate site or your duplicated website from your network marketing company where you promote your products or services.

1. Submit Your Content and Knowledge: There are several ways that you can promote yourself online. A few examples would be to create at least three articles and submit them to at least five different article submission sites such as Hubpages.com and Digg.com. Another way is to start creating videos larketing, pre paid legal, network marketing, small etting people know about yourself or put some information out on a specific topic that pertains to your line of business and submitting them to different video submission websites. Never try to sell your product, service or business opportunity. People are seeking information, so give it to them and then you can just reference your website at the end of your article or video. Tell your audience what to do! If you want them to go to your website to learn more, tell them! But, never sell them a product, service or opportunity. People need to get to know YOU first, then like you and your content which will lead into trusting you, and eventually will lead to a sale. Be creative and do your due diligence!

1. Get a Lead Capture Page: The reason why you want to do this is to "capture" your targeted leads so that you can start building your email list. This is going to allow you to build a relationship with them. Once they enter their name and email address, direct them to your website. Make sure that you give them enough information to want to learn more, but don't give them too much. Add a few bulleted points on your product or service and how THEY can benefit from it. Again, people are looking for a solution. You have to be able to solve their problem. Give them an incentive if you can. A great incentive program that I would recommend is a Travel Voucher Program. The one I use is www.BoostYourBizNow.com.

1. Auto Responder: This relates to #3. Having an auto responder on your lead capture page is going to allow you to start communicating with your leads. Be sure to send them information and again, never try to sell them anything. You may include a link to your website in your signature so that they can opt to check it out on their own, and they will. Statistics show that it takes about 8 to 12 emails to make a sale. So, make sure you are sending them good content, especially in your first 2 or 3 campaigns.

There are literally hundreds of creative ways to promote yourself online, but these 4 tasks should be your very first steps that you should take to start marketing yourself on the internet. Just remember never try to sell ANYTHING to your prospects. Just be persistent and be consistent and you will succeed!
